A rapist terrifies the town with his brutal attacks, as Martin finds out when he taps his voicemail, with ex-girlfriend Laura screaming in vain for help as she is attacked and killed. Meanwhile, Martin and Anna's relationship is starting to work, but Anna still finds it hard to do anything serious about the relationship as she doesn't want to confuse her son, Mikkel. When Anna and Mikala are in town together, Anna discovers that Mikala is carrying her service pistol in an expensive bag. Anna finds this very strange, but Mikala is scared and doesn't dare to go without the gun. They fall out and Anna leaves, but suddenly the bag with the gun is gone.
