Just when Toad has promised that it is not far to the White Deer Park, the most terrible of all obstacles gets in their way: a busy motorway. And the hunting party makes it impossible for them to retreat. Somehow the animals will have to face the frightening traffic. Whistler, the heron, carries the smaller animals while the larger ones slip through the gaps. But the hedgehogs freeze in fear, just in the lane of a heavy goods vehicle. For them, any help comes too late.
