At the cabaret club, crime scene cleaner Schotty comes across a moderately talented clown and shortly afterwards finds himself chosen as a test audience. The clown demands non-glorified criticism, which he promptly receives. What follows is a crisis of purpose for the clown, which Schotty must first deal with himself. After all, humour is a tough pill to swallow.
