A young girl from an immigrant background, Jamila, jumps from the third floor but miraculously survives. Eva believes there may have been an attempted honour killing and that Jamila was forced to either jump or be killed. She and her family deny this, but admit that she is engaged. Daniel apologizes to Anna, and she agrees to meet with the families. During the meeting, however, Anna becomes convinced that Daniel is lying to her, and their relationship is finally severed. Meanwhile, Therese unexpectedly returns from the US and picks up Molly from Jan's in a somewhat unforgiving manner. Jamila has been trying to call someone called Mahmood and he reveals that they are lovers, but that she is also engaged to be married to one of Copenhagen's most powerful criminals. Jamila and Mahmood are therefore put under protection at the police station and forbidden to have contact with the family, even though Jamila tells them that they are not a threat. However, when Jamila's father's shop is burnt down, Jamila leaves the station and soon after Mahmood too. The next morning, Mahmood is shot while at work.
