Fox persuades Füchsin to come with him and look for his friends from the Thalerwald. Fortunately, they find their trail, but that's when they notice that Füchsin has been tracked down by a pack of hunting dogs. Pursued by the hunters, Füchsin is saved first by the bravery of Fuchs and then by Natter, who bites one of the horses. Badger, toad, weasel and the others can only look on in horror until the hunt is called off.
