For thousands of years, the Nile has shaped the destiny of Egypt. Its annually recurring floods inundated the land and made it fertile with its mud. Only the construction of the Aswan Dam made the river predictable, but it also keeps the natural fertilizer river mud away from the fields. New dependencies have emerged. Senab, a seamstress, uses her imagination and creativity to defend herself against discrimination as a single mother. She has become a role model for distressed women who would otherwise have no chance to survive.
