The French girl Marinette experiences small and big adventures with her grandmother in the countryside. The plot of the series is based on the comic series "Les souvenirs de Mamette". In the summer of 1935, her mother sends Marinette to the country to live with her grandparents and her aunt Susan. The little girl, who is used to life as a city child, does not like this at all, however, and tries to resist everything. After some time, however, Marinette nevertheless takes a liking to her new home, she settles more and more into the situation, discovers her environment, meets new friends and masters many small and larger adventures.
