The circus is visiting Oberfimmel. The biggest attraction is Bumba, the silver lion. To scare Hannes, his archenemies, the Gringos, let Bumba out of his cage. Bumba escapes. Circus director Pietrofski is desperate, because without the silver lion, the show can not begin. Hannes promises to capture Bumba again.
