The forest is like an organism, ancient and full of mechanisms. Its plants need water and are dependent on temperature. Nevertheless, it survives in the most diverse places in the world. How does it manage to adapt to even the most adverse conditions? Our idea of "forest" is shaped by the romantic tales of the 19th century. Today, most Europeans only know the man-made forest. Many mistakenly imagine that all of Europe was once covered by impenetrable forests. But in many cases, knowledge has been lost of how diverse forests can be and how they meet the challenges of different habitats. "Forests of Our Earth" exposes amazing survival strategies and phenomena of forests worldwide under very different environmental conditions and in interaction with fascinating animals. The film features breathtaking footage of exciting animal behavior and vast landscapes. Its narrative spans familiar forests and animals to exotic occurrences.
