This portrait of the late Herbert von Karajan's protégé - who was only 13, she proclaimed "the greatest youthful musical talent since the young Menuhin" - shows her in performance and talks about her life and ideas about music in an interview at her home in Kitzbühel. She is filmed at London's Barbican Centre performing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in Op. 35, as well as sonatas by Ravel, Franck, Tartini, Sarasate and Beethoven.
