The documentary film "Arno Schmidt - My heart belongs to the head" takes the 100th birthday of Arno Schmidt as an opportunity to revive the life and work of the author of the legendary book "Zettel's Traum". Original recordings, photographs and interviews with contemporary witnesses such as Jan Philipp Reemtsma serve as the basis for the content, while the narrative voice of crime scene actress Mechthild Großmann also makes Schmidt's lyrics sound. Central here is the friendship between Schmidt and Wilhelm Michels worked up to approach in this way the time of his life rather zoned cult author.
