Every day, regulars, students and ordinary visitors come to the Bibliothèque publique d'information in the heart of Paris. Wandering among the crowds, in the stacks and on the bangs of the library, we meet inspired students, enlightened amateurs, hardened loners, idle regulars, feverish artists... By appropriating one or other of the thousands of cultural resources at their disposal, each "inhabits" the library in his or her own way. And each one shares with us his or her way of being inhabited by a text, a piece of music or a video. A public space for private ecstasies, the library becomes the temple of an unsuspected community.
