Wild Allgäu - High Mountains, deep Gorges

Sentimental Film/Nature, Germany 2007

Not available in your country
At the foot of the Allgäu mountains, wide moors with a rich flora and fauna were created long ago. Ponderous farms and pretty villages are scattered throughout the landscape like jewels. Famous churches and castles make this area a magnet for visitors. It is an exuberant diversity that makes the Allgäu both attractive and valuable. The film begins in deep winter, when the snow-covered landscape looks like a winter fairy tale. Film author Jan Haft accompanies a herd of Allgäu cows through the year, stops at the most beautiful corners of the region and shows the seasons in their most colourful colours.
