A few days before Corpus Christi each year, tens of thousands of descendants of the Incas from many parts of South America embark on a five-day pilgrimage that mixes Christian faith with the Andean rituals of Peru's indigenous people. The pilgrims' destination is the sacred star glaciers of Quollyur Rit'y in the Peruvian Andes, a 6-hour drive from the ancient Inca capital of Cusco - at an altitude of over 5,000 meters. According to ancient Inca beliefs, this festival puts an end to the chaos of the old year with the appearance of the constellation of the Pleiades, and a new year of clarity begins. We accompany the four protagonists Carlos, Checko, Richard and Fredy from Cusco on their journey to the "Quollyur Rit'y". Each of them has a very special story to tell about the most important festival of the year. This time, too, the friends carry their wishes and desires into the foreign mountain world of the High Andes...
